Beauty makes me shiver. And I am often overwhelmed by the variety of packages that it comes in. Sometimes beauty is hidden in a stone coming from the ground, covered with dirt, and rough, sharp edges. Eventually after much polishing the stone becomes a work of art in its own right. I have felt the shivers of beauty exposed in a shark's tooth as its simplistic, practical shape absorbs the elegance of the gems that surround it. And I have experienced the exhilaration of seeing how a human-created, single-bristle miniature painting preens its beauty when framed by the colors that only Mother Nature can create in her stones.

I like to think that my wearable art is a collaboration with Mother Nature. My media are the natural elements from the earth and sea - the finest gifts that Mother Nature has to offer. Each stone, object, pearl and gem tells me where it should be placed in the design, and each is hand selected and placed to enhance its natural beauty.

What started as a hobby has become my passion. I have refined my combinations of the beauty created best by Mother Nature and enhanced by man.
